WSB WP Women excited to welcome Fidelity Titans to Newlands

Writer: Cricket SACricket SA

World Sports Betting Western Province Women gearing up for the tough test as they welcome Fidelity Titans this weekend at World Sports Betting Newlands.

The Girls In Blue will be looking to keep the 100% winning record at home this season in the Hollywoodbets Pro Series.

Currently sitting in second and third position in Hollywoodbets Pro20 and Pro50 Series, respectively, batter Kelsey Adams says the team is excited ahead of the tournament's Round 5.

"The team is looking good ahead of the weekend. We just tweaked a few things here and there that we needed to improve on from last weekend," said Adams.

"Everyone is excited for the upcoming matches and we are all in a good space.

"The girls can't wait to get onto the park again to showcase all the hard work that was put into training this week."

With Claire Terblanche's chargers having players on national duty, Adams believes this will be the chance to test the squad's depth.

She says the team won’t underestimate the Titans side.

"We obviously have a few of our national players and Under-19 national players on duty, so it will be a good weekend to test the depth of our squad," she said.

"Like I said before, we just tweaked a few areas that needed a bit of work from last weekend.

"I think the girls will just look to carry on with the good energies and the same intent that we had last weekend in order to take both games."

Adams added: "The Titans are obviously coming off the back of a loss and we know that when a team loses, they're going to come hard for the next game,"

"So, we're expecting a hard fought battle with them, but it will be a good weekend of games."

The matches will be live streamed on the Cricket South Africa YouTube page and are set to start at 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
