SA20 fever is taking over schools around the country with the tournament bringing music, dance challenges, star players and Season 4 excitement to the young fans. With 30 days to go until the opening match between MI Cape Town and Durban’s Super Giants at Newlands on Boxing Day, the anticipation for an entertaining summer of cricket continues to grow.
The festivities kicked off in Cape Town, the home of the defending champions, with MI Cape Town spinner Dane Piedt and SA20 Legend, Allan Donald bringing the early festive cheer to the learners at Parklands College in the north of Cape Town.
“It’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm and excitement for the upcoming season of the SA20,” Donald said. “The competition has made an enormous impact on South African cricket both on and off the field, it has been an incredible addition to the cricket calendar. These kids are the next generation of cricketers and fans, I’m so happy to see their love for the game come through today.”

The first stop delivered an experience like no other for over 100 learners, who received a taste of what Season 4 has on offer: all the vibes, give-aways and unbeatable entertainment. SA20 20th Player, TV personality Moshe Ndiki, led the proceedings with his funk and hype and showcased the energy each of the team’s supporters bring.
The day featured a mix of entertainment and engagement. Learners were introduced to the Season 4 SA20 anthem, “Put Your Hands Up”, a lively beat capturing the energy and spirt of SA20. The anthem was performed live by YoungstaCPT, who delivered a Cape Town-inspired version that blended rhythm, culture and local pride.
The anthem “Put Your Hands Up” by Danzel will soundtrack the season, with fans invited to join the movement on TikTok and Instagram using #BetwaySA20 and #PutYourHandsUpSA20 for a chance to win tickets and merchandise.
“Today was a great day to connect with the kids ahead of Season 4 of SA20,” Piedt said. “MI Cape Town enjoys amazing support from the people of this region and kids form a big part of that support. As a player, we feed off their excitement and energy, we can’t to experience that when we kick off our campaign on Boxing Day at Newlands”

The SA20 schools’ takeovers will continue around the country before the summer holidays, moving from Cape Town to Johannesburg, Gqeberha, Durban, Paarl and Pretoria. The Schools Tour forms part of the countdown to Season 4 of the SA20, which will run during the peak holiday season from 26 December 2025 to 25 January 2026.
Every match is guaranteed to have dancing, Mexican waves, party zones, and an amazing vibe that runs long into the night with crowds entertained by live DJs, give-aways, kiss-cams, the Betway Catch R2-million competition, a chance to win a car and a multitude of activities for young and old.
The stands will be the place to be this summer with tickets across all six stadiums selling fast. Fans and vibe-seekers are encouraged to secure their front-row seats at www.SA20.co.za or at the stadium ticket office.
