The 2025/26 T20 Challenge is in full swing, and the action is about to get better with the World Test Championship Mace tour, giving fans a special treat as the trophy makes its way around the country throughout the competition.

At St George’s Park, hosts, Dafabet Warriors secured a six-wicket win against World Sports Betting Western Province on Friday evening.

The visitors battled to 134/9 in their 20 overs, as Wesley Bedja (4/22) and Kerwin Mungroo (3/26) delivered the most destructive spells for the hosts.

Warriors’ skipper, Matthew de Villiers (61), led from the front, well supported by Muhammad Manack (43), as they cruised to victory in just under 16 overs.

In Potchefstroom, the Renault Potchefstroom North West Dragons were hosts to Hollywoodbets Dolphins at the JB Marks Oval in a rain-affected clash reduced to 17 overs per side.

Dolphins posted a competitive 155/9, with Leus du Plooy (60) starring on debut and Khaya Zondo (43) providing solid support.

Their bowlers backed it up superbly, with Eathan Bosch (4/27 in three overs), Anrich Nortje (3/18 in four overs), and Tristan Luus (3/20 in four overs) combining to restrict the Dragons’ chase.

Despite brief resistance in the twenties from Meeka-eel Prince, Diego Rosier, and Lesiba Ngoepe, the hosts were bowled out for 124 and Dolphins won by 31 runs.

Meanwhile, the Goldrush Boland side enjoyed a stellar week at home, registering back-to-back victories over neighbours WSB Western Province and the Momentum Multiply Titans in Paarl.

Against Western Province, Boland sealed a commanding 65-run win, thanks to an unbeaten 52 from Lehan Botha.

Botha was once again instrumental in the next fixture, scoring an unbeaten 42 alongside skipper Clyde Reeves-Fortuin, who smashed a rapid 50 off 32 balls, to secure a seven-wicket victory over the Titans.

The T20 Challenge action will continue on Saturday; Moothee Ram Tuskers travel to Johannesburg to face the DP World Lions, with both teams eager to notch their first win of the competition.
