Titans edge WP while Tuskers and Dolphins share the points

The Momentum Multiply Titans edged World Sports Betting Western Province by two wickets while the Moothee Ram Tuskers and Hollywoodbets Dolphins shared the derby spoils in the 1-Day Cup action on Sunday.
At SuperSport Park the Titans were made to work hard for their narrow victory as Western Province nearly defended 220.
Titans bowler, Duan Jansen, was the star with the bat making 45 batting at No 9 to guide the team home.
Western Province, after being sent in to bat, were bowled out for 220 in 44.3 overs. Their innings was rescued by 21-year-old Oliver Whitehead, who struck a composed 55 from 67 balls to lift the visitors from a precarious 94/6 to a competitive total. David Bedingham added 33 and Kyle Verreynne 23, while Kyle Simmonds chipped in with 20.
The Titans’ bowlers shared the workload effectively. Dayyaan Galiem (3/51) and Jansen (3/45) led the attack, while Neil Brand supported with 2/51 as Western Province were restricted despite a late recovery.
In reply, the Titans’ chase gained structure through Keegan Petersen, who anchored the innings with a patient 71 off 101 balls. Rivaldo Moonsamy (33) and Lesego Senokwane (36) also made useful contributions as the hosts appeared in control midway through the innings.
However, Western Province clawed their way back into the contest through spinner Kyle Simmonds, whose outstanding figures of 4/34 ripped through the Titans’ middle order and left the match finely balanced.
With the chase wobbling at 178/8, Jansen produced a decisive counterattack from down the order, striking an unbeaten 45 off 51 balls. His late partnership with Junior Dala (12*) guided the Titans across the line with 12 balls remaining, completing a hard-fought win.
The KZN derby at the AET Pietermaritzburg Oval was unfortunately abandoned as rain came down on Sunday afternoon.
The match was a stop-start affair with rain continuously interrupting proceedings; however the Tuskers did manage to finish their 41 over innings.
They made 211/9 with Malcolm Nofal's 49 being their most significant contribution with the bat.
Jack Lees (39) and Matthew Urquhart (33) were the only other scores of substance for the Tuskers.
The experience of Imran Tahir shone through as the leg spinner took 3/41 while young seamer Tristan Luus bagged 3/45 from eight overs.
The Dolphins reply had matured to 66/2 when the rain forced the match to be called off.
Opener Tshepang Dithole made 33 earlier and Slade van Staden was on 17* and Marques Ackerman was on 2* when the players came off the field for the final time.
On Saturday, Goldrush Boland secured a narrow six-run victory over the NWU North West Dragons in their low-scoring 1-Day Cup clash after a disciplined bowling display.
Boland were bowled out for 121 in 23.2 overs after choosing to bat first, with Grant Roelofsen top-scoring with 39 while Lehan Botha added 25.
The Dragons’ bowlers shared the wickets, led by Caleb Seleka’s impressive 4/15.
In reply, Dragons struggled to build partnerships despite Lesiba Ngoepe’s patient 30 and Migael Pretorius’ quick 24, eventually being dismissed for 115 in 24.1 overs.
Boland’s attack was spearheaded by Imran Manack (3/20) and Ferisco Adams (3/15), who combined effectively to seal a hard-fought win in a match dominated by the bowlers.
The match between DP World Lions and Dafabet Warriors was abandoned without a ball bowled on Friday.
