The DP World Lions Women and WSB Western Province Women have made it through to both the Hollywoodbets Pro20 and Pro50 finals that will take place at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
Going into the final round of the Hollywoodbets Pro50, WSB Western Province needed a bonus point win to leapfrog the Dolphins and secure a spot in the final against the Lions, who had already qualified for the final.
Western Province Women produced a commanding all-round display to defeat the Dolphins Ladies by 121 runs and secure the much-needed bonus point.
The Girls In Blue posted 225 all out in 50 overs after winning key contributions through the middle order.
Fresh from the Proteas Women T20I debut, Kayla Reyneke led the charge with a fluent 75 off 65 balls, anchoring the innings after the early stages.
She was well supported by Lara Goodall, who added 42, while all-rounder Dane van Niekerk contributed a composed 39 to guide the visitors to a competitive total.
The Dolphins’ bowlers fought hard to contain the scoring, with Nonkululeko Mlaba leading the effort with 2/25 in 10 overs. Micaela Andrews and Nondumiso Shangase also claimed two wickets each, helping restrict Province to a manageable target.
However, Western Province’s bowlers quickly seized control of the contest once the Dolphins began their chase.
Nosipho Vezi delivered a superb performance, claiming 5/18 in 10 overs to dismantle the Dolphins’ batting lineup.
Only Nicole de Klerk (31) and Courtney Gounden (26) managed to offer resistance for the hosts but regular wickets prevented the Dolphins from building momentum.
Miya Lalor (2/20) and Leah Jones (2/13) provided excellent support as the Dolphins were dismissed for 104 in 30.3 overs, handing Province the victory along with a valuable bonus point.
At the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn, Fidelity Titans Ladies secured a six-wicket victory over Garden Route Badgers Women in their Pro50 match.
The Badgers were bowled out for 119 in 37.6 overs, despite a determined 61 from Annerie Dercksen, who anchored the innings under pressure.
Nicolien Janse van Rensburg added 23 but the Titans’ disciplined bowling attack ensured the hosts struggled to build partnerships.
The Titans’ bowling unit shared the spoils, with Masabata Klaas, Paulinah Mashishi and Luyanda Nzuza each claiming three wickets to keep the Badgers on the back foot throughout the innings.
In reply, the Titans comfortably chased down the target, reaching 123/4 in 34.1 overs. Lizelle Lee top-scored with a composed 58 off 65 balls, while Sune Luus remained unbeaten on 27 to guide her side home and secure four points and a bonus point.

In Sunday’s Hollywoodbets Pro20 action, DP World Lions Women secured a dominant 10-wicket victory over North West Dragons Women after an abandoned Pro50 encounter.
The Dragons managed just 30/2 in their six overs, with Mignon du Preez finishing unbeaten on 14. Tumi Sekhukhune and Kgomotso Rapoo picked up a wicket each for the Lions.
The chase proved straightforward as Karabo Meso (18)* and Tazmin Brits (12)* guided the Lions to 34 without loss in just 4.1 overs, sealing a comprehensive win.
In Oudtshoorn, Fidelity Titans Ladies delivered another strong performance in the Pro20 format, defeating Garden Route Badgers Women by 69 runs.
The Titans posted 147/9 in 20 overs, thanks largely to a powerful 70 off 46 balls from Lee, supported by Gandhi Jafta (27) and Eliz-Mari Marx (17).
The Badgers struggled in their reply, with only Nadine Moodley (39) offering resistance as the side was bowled out for 78 in 19.4 overs. Samantha Schutte starred with the ball, claiming 3/12, while Marx and Mashishi chipped in with key wickets.
Earlier at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead, WSB Western Province Women secured a 22-run victory over Hollywoodbets Dolphins Ladies in another closely contested Pro20 encounter.
Province posted 144/5 in their 20 overs, led by Delmari Tucker (42), Faye Tunnicliffe (32, and Lara Goodall (30), setting up a competitive total.
The Dolphins pushed hard in response, with Alex Candler anchoring the innings with 49 but they fell short at 122/4. Western Province’s bowling attack, led by Caitlin Wyngaard (2/18) and supported by Tucker and Vezi, ensured the visitors held their advantage to secure the win.
Tunnicliffe has etched her name into the history books with a remarkable performance in the Hollywoodbets Pro20 this season, becoming the first woman to score more than 400 runs in a single domestic campaign.
Tunnicliffe has accumulated an outstanding 414 runs so far this season, surpassing the previous domestic record of 386 runs set by DP Lions star Brits.
Her tally also moves her ahead of North West Dragons batter Du Preez, who had scored 394 runs earlier this season, making Tunnicliffe the new record holder.
What makes the achievement even more impressive is the efficiency with which it was accomplished. Tunnicliffe reached the milestone in just seven innings, including two not-outs, underlining both her consistency and ability to finish innings strongly for her team.
The opener has been in exceptional form throughout the competition, maintaining an outstanding average of 82.8 while scoring at a strike rate of 147.86.
Her performances have played a key role in her team’s campaign and have highlighted her status as one of the leading batters in the domestic women’s game.
Tunnicliffe’s record-breaking season is not only a personal milestone but also a significant moment for women’s domestic cricket, setting a new benchmark for future players in the competition.
