Following a resounding victory against the Northwest Dragons in their last outing, where they clinched a commanding win by 302 runs, the Sky Blues are riding high on confidence as they currently hold the No 1 spot on the log.
In their triumph over the Dragons, Donovan Ferreira emerged as the standout performer, earning himself the Man of the Match accolade for his exceptional bowling display, achieving career-best figures of 10/38. Meanwhile, Dewald Brevis showcased his batting prowess by notching up his second First-Class century, scoring 113 runs off just 121 balls, while skipper Neil Brand contributed a solid 72 runs off 168 balls. The team's second innings also witnessed a stellar batting performance from Rivaldo Moonsamy, who fell just short of a century with an impressive 98 runs off 72 balls.
Looking ahead to their fixture in Durban, Sibonelo Makhanya, the team's skipper, expressed confidence in the squad's readiness and skills.
