Glencore North West Dragons bowler Nthabiseng Nini produced incredible figures of 5/1 as the Dragons continued their unbeaten run in the CSA Division 2 Women's National Week in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, weather once again influenced a number of the fixtures with just two of the five matches on the day playing out to a conclusion.

The Easterns women's side were scheduled to go up against Eastern Province, however the weather had the final say as it did in the Mpumalanga match against Northern Cape.

This meant that just two matches were played to completion with the Dragons beating Kei and the Eastern Cape Iinyathi and KZN Inland playing out to a fascinating tie.

Their match was reduced to 30 overs and Iinyathi managed to get to 113/7 in their 30 overs.

Genevieve Fritz top scored with 37 while Cayleigh Wenekel made 24 not out to help them to that mark.

For the Tuskers, Mbali Mkhize picked up 3/7 in two overs while Megan Webb and Nonjabulo Shoba both picked up a wicket each.

The reply from the Tuskers, thanks to 37 off 43 balls from Megan Wessells and 27 from Kirsten Kaltwasser got them to 113/six, however they couldn't score the winning run.

Siyolise Fawuli bagged 2/13 with the ball as the Iinyathi bowlers held out the Tuskers batters for a memorable tie.

The other completed match of the day saw the Dragons march on towards promotion to Division 1 with an emphatic nine wicket victory over Kei in their 23 over clash.

The team from Potchefstroom bowled the Kei side out for 32 with Nini in scintillating form in her four overs.

Ane Saunderson picked up 3/14 in five overs as the Dragons needed just 33 for victory.

It look them just over seven overs to make the required runs. They did lose the wicket of Rode Denysschen for nine along the way.

Deidrè van Rensberg (18) and Karabo Lemphane (4) were the two batters who finished the job for North West.

Wednesday is the fifth and final day of the CSA Division 2 Women's National Week with the Dragons taking on Northern Cape. Kei face Easterns, KwaZulu-Natal Inland are up against Eastner Province while Border play Limpopo and Boland are up against Mpumalanga.
