Exciting launch kickstarts new domestic season

The first days of Spring usher in a new energy as well as the launch of the new domestic cricket season set to get underway at the end of September.
The South African domestic cricket season was launched at an energy-filled, vibrant Wanderers Club in Johannesburg on Tuesday as fans, players and administrators prepare for another enthralling season of domestic cricket.
The event highlighted what's expected to be another exciting season from both a men's and women's perspective with various unions out to retain their respective crowns.
Once again, it will be another hard-fought battle across the men’s and women’s game and the various formats, with all teams eager to impress and claim the silverware.
Cricket South Africa CEO, Pholetsi Moseki, said: "We're excited to be kick-starting the new domestic season with a jam-packed summer of cricket expected.
"Our domestic structures remain the backbone of professional cricket in South Africa and we're excited to see how the various tournaments unfold over the upcoming season.
"Good luck to all the players, coaches and unions involved across the men's and women's games."
The season launch included the unveiling of various themes surrounding the different competitions, also unveiling a dance competition that will be rolled out in the CSA T20 Challenge. For the 1-Day Cup the overarching theme is one of a traditional South African braai.
The season launch showcased various activations that included KFC Mini Cricket, a bowlathon and a range hitting competition between the men's and women's professionals that were in attendance.
The competitive juices flowed as the various teams attempted to get an early one-up over their rivals ahead of the new season.
Speaking ahead of the new season; CSA Executive of Domestic Cricket, Edward Khoza, says there is a lot to look forward to.
"It's going to be another exciting season of domestic cricket for players and fans alike," Khoza said.
"The various competitions will provide cricket fans with plenty of opportunities to see the country's best players and Proteas of the future playing all three formats as well as the two formats of the women's game.
"The off-season has been long but it has been productive and we're looking forward to having the cricket season back and underway from the end of September."
The men's domestic season commences with the 4-Day Domestic Series on 25 September as both the men's Division 1 and Division 2 red ball competitions get underway.
The T20 Challenge is then the focus from the end of October as players gear up for the Betway SA20 starting at the end of December.
There are a handful of 4-Day matches played in the lead up to Christmas and the start of the SA20 on Boxing Day.
The 4-Day Series then comes to an end at the end of February before the 1-Day Cup kicks into gear after that, with the 50-over competition winding up the season with the final on 29 March.
From a women's perspective, the Hollywoodbets Pro Series gets underway on Saturday, 4 October when the DP World Lions take on the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at DP World Wanderers Stadium in the Hollywoodbets Pro50 opener. The action continues on Sunday, 5 October with the Hollywoodbets Pro 20 clash.
Building on a strong debut season and a new two-year commitment, Hollywoodbets is set to bring fresh energy and increased awareness to the women's game.
With a break in the competitions from the middle of December until the beginning of February, the Hollywoodbets Pro Series culminates in the Pro 20 final on 13 March and the Pro 50 final on Sunday, 15 March.
