Dragons secure promotion to Hollywoodbets Pro Series

The Glencore North West Dragons completed a full house of victories at the CSA Division 2 Women's National Week to secure their promotion to the Hollywoodbets Pro Series for the 2025/26 season.
The Dragons came up against Northern Cape in their final match of the week on Wednesday and put in a clinical display winning by eight wickets which gave them a fifth win of the week.
It was a dominant bowling display from North West who knocked over the Northern Cape batting line-up for just 51 in 32 overs on Wednesday with Ane Saunderson (3/17) and Alyssa Erxleben (3/18) returning the best figures.
The reply was ruthless as Deidrè van Rensberg (20*) and Rode Denysschen (16) guided their team to an emphatic victory.
The Easterns Ladies came up against Kei in their final match and they cruised to a significant 131 run win.
Batting first Easterns notched up 161 all out with Thelma Makhubela top scoring with 30. Chumani Majamba claimed 3/32 with the ball before Kei were given 162 to win the match.
The Easterns bowlers dominated proceedings and bowled Kei out for 29 in just under 15 overs.
Leeandre Bentley was the pick of the Benoni-side bowlers bagging 4/10 in four overs while Tsholofelo Marema contributed 3/6 in five overs to give Easterns a final day victory.
Eastern Cape Iinyathi pulled off a dominant 94 run victory over the Limpopo Lillies on the final day in Bloemfontein.
Batting first the team from East London made 146/7 in their 50 overs with a top score of 73 not out from Jamie Marais contributing significantly to their total.
Akani Mashimbyi continued her good week with 3/22 with the ball for the Lillies.
In reply it was the Iinyathi bowlers who dominated proceedings with three wickets apiece for Siyolise Fawuli (3/5), Sinesipho Dondi (3/4) and Jenna Roberts (3/2) that guided them to victory.
The match between Mpumalanga and Boland was the closest of the day with the Mpumalanga side edging Boland by 11 runs.
After taking first strike Mpumalanga made 223/8 with Ashley Barnard making 44.
Maria van der Vyver was the best Boland bowler taking 2/33 in her 10 overs.
A 92 not out off 135 balls from Van der Vyver was the most significant contribution for the Boland side who fell 11 runs short of their target.
Eastern Province then coasted past KZN Inland to finish their week on a high.
Inland posted 138 all out with Megan Wessels making 56 while Aphilile Adonisi claimed 5/28 to restrict Inland to under 140.
The reply was clinical as Zizipho Mdebuka made 71 not out off 73 balls and Alu Dunga added 28 to see the EP side over the line.
