Big weekend awaits WSB Western Province Women as they host Dolphins at WSB Newlands

A massive weekend of cricket is in store for the World Sports Betting Western Province Women as the Girls in Blue prepare to host the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women in both the Hollywoodbets Pro50 and Pro20 competitions at World Sports Betting Newlands.

Claire Terblanche’s side has been in superb form, sitting proudly at the top of both competitions after three rounds with 10 points in the One-Day format and 14 points in the T20 standings.

The action gets underway at 10am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, as the Girls in Blue welcomes the Dolphins to Cape Town for a jam-packed weekend of cricket.

Fresh from her time with the Proteas Women at the ICC Women’s World Cup in India, head coach Terblanche says her team is mentally prepared and focused.

“The girls are focused on maintaining their consistency,” said Terblanche. “The focus is sharp, the plans are clear, and training has been going well. The big word for us is sustaining this momentum. This means our batting unit must build strong partnerships and approach the game with intent, while our bowling unit maintains its discipline across both formats.”

Terblanche says the team’s ultimate focus this season is clear.

“Our main goal is to reach the finals and compete for both titles,” she said. “To achieve that, we have to remain consistent in how we approach each game and make sure we don’t take any opposition for granted. Every match is an opportunity to build momentum and keep improving as a unit.”
