Tickets are now available for the most anticipated global flag football event to-date as the sport prepares to make its first appearance at the Olympic Games in LA28.

From August 13-16 2026, the flag football world will be watching Düsseldorf as the city plays host to one of the first direct LA28 qualification events in any sport. At IFAF World Flag 26, 16 women’s and 16 men’s teams from 19 nations across five continents will compete for the World Championship title and one of two coveted places in the LA28 tournament draw. Competition will take place over four days at the Flag Football Complex at the Koblenzer Straße district sports facility in Düsseldorf-Garath.

The event, which is being delivered by D.SPORTS and the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), with support from the National Football League (NFL), offers an extraordinary opportunity to witness world-class competition free-of-charge, in a sport that is set to be a major highlight of the Games in Los Angeles.

For the first three days of the tournament on August 13, 14, and 15, a “Free Ground Pass” can be booked via the online shop. The ticket allows spectators to move freely around all playing fields and fan engagement areas. In total, the facility, including the temporarily constructed grandstands, can accommodate up to 5 000 spectators.

Tickets are also accessibly priced for the final day of action on August 16, when medals and Olympic qualification spots will be decided. A “Final Stadium Pass” can be secured for just 15 euros, with concessions available for various groups. Teenagers aged 12 to 17, apprentices, students and retirees can secure their seat for 10 euros. For children aged 6 to 11, the pass costs 5 euros and children five and under get in free. For more information on tickets, visit: https://worldflag26.vivenushop.com

The event will be a four-day festival of flag football, with a range of activations and entertainment for all the family running alongside the elite competition. NFL franchise New England Patriots will be among those presenting activities, while a wide range of food and merchandise will be available in the fan village.

Pierre Trochet, President of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF): “No international flag football tournament has ever been more anticipated! Spectators this summer will be part of history as we discover our first Olympic qualifiers and – with support from the NFL – take flag football to the next level as a sport-entertainment experience. There’s a reason flag football is exploding worldwide and, whether they know this sport or not, everyone who grabs a ticket is going to go home a fan!”

Bastian Becker, Director of Sports at D.LIVE: “We’ve been able to create an attractive ticket package that allows both newcomers and die-hard flag football fans to experience this young sport up close and at an affordable price at the very highest level, and we’re looking forward to a packed and lively stadium when the competition for gold, silver and bronze kicks off in August.”
