EPCR and Broadcast Virtual continue collaboration

As the Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup near the knockout stages, with the Round of 16 getting underway on Friday, EPCR and Broadcast Virtual will continue their collaboration to deliver virtual pitch branding across both competitions.

Virtual pitch branding was implemented for 17 matches during the pool stage of the Investec Champions Cup and will continue to do so, including for both finals on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Broadcast Virtual works with a number of rugby and wider sporting properties including the Guinness Six Nations, The Rugby Championship, New Zealand Rugby, Rugby Australia and the Castle Lager Lions Series in South Africa in 2021.

The partnership will see virtual pitch branding across four matches in the Round of 16 and any subsequent matches in the UK and Ireland, in matches broadcast on TNT Sports and ITV in the UK, and RTÉ in Ireland.

EPCR’s CEO Jacques Raynaud said: "We have been delighted with the work Broadcast Virtual delivered during our pool stages, ensuring a premium viewing experience for our TV audiences while ensuring visibility of our partners across our competitions, delivering continued commercial value."

Broadcast Virtual’s Managing Director Struan Logan said: "As the global leader in virtual advertising we are delighted to be selected to partner with the EPCR on these key events to showcase the benefits of virtual."

Broadcast Virtual provides innovative branding solutions, utilising tracking technology and proprietary software to embed advertising into thousands of live sporting events across the world.
