Dolphins strengthen off-field structures ahead of new season
The Hollywoodbets Dolphins have strengthened their operational and coaching structures ahead of the 2026/27 season, with a number of key appointments and promotions adding depth and continuity across the organisation.
The most notable appointment sees Krystl Rangiah become the first woman appointed as Stadium & Events Manager in the history of the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, taking up the position with immediate effect.
Rangiah's promotion recognises her growing contribution to the organisation where her responsibilities will now include overseeing the stadium and events portfolio and ensuring that match days and other major events hosted at Kingsmead continue to provide a high-quality experience for players, supporters, partners and other stakeholders.
"I'm incredibly honoured to take up the position of Stadium and Events Manager at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium," Rangiah said. "I have loved coming to Kingsmead since I was ten years old and to now have the privilege of leading this world-renowned Stadium that means so much to me is an unbelievable honour.
"I am excited to build on its legacy and cement Kingsmead as a premium sporting destination on the global stage.”
"I am also extremely grateful to our visionary CEO Mr Heinrich Strydom whose belief and trust in me drives my focus and dedication.
"It is a profound honour to be the first woman to take on this role at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium and marks a monumental chapter in the Stadium’s legacy "
The appointment is one of a number of changes and promotions that form part of the Dolphins' continued focus on building a strong and sustainable professional structure around its cricketing teams.
At governance level, there is significant continuity, with Yunus Bobat continuing as President, supported by Vice Presidents Busi Mbhele and Kugan Subrayen, while Dilip Hariram continues as Treasurer and Feroza Asmall as the lead-independent director.
That continuity extends into the organisation's day-to-day operations, with Ushaylin Rajagopaul adding significant value as Finance Manager and Yashveer Singh continuing to flourish in the position of Cricket Services Manager.
The stadium and playing environment will also benefit from the continued work of Head Groundsman, Wonderboy Khanyile, who remains responsible for preparing the playing surfaces at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium with the renowned Evan Flint as his trusted consultant.
The Dolphins' coaching framework has likewise been reinforced, with Quinton Friend continuing as Hollywoodbets Dolphins Men's head coach and Angelique Taai leading the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women's team.
Alongside that continuity, the Dolphins have added two new members to their men's coaching and performance team.
Jude Solomons has joined as the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Men's strength & conditioning coach, bringing specialist expertise to an area that has become increasingly important in preparing players for the demands of the modern game.
Former Proteas and Dolphins player, Mangaliso Mosehle, has also joined the men's coaching team as fielding coach, returning to an organisation with which he has a strong connection.
Mosehle's experience at the highest level of the game will add another dimension to the Dolphins' preparation, with his role focused on developing one of the most important aspects of modern cricket.
These appointments reflect the Dolphins' desire to combine continuity with fresh expertise as both the men and women teams prepare for the 2026/27 season. The objective remains to create a world-class environment in which players and coaches can flourish, while the business is geared towards growth and financial sustainability.
Further appointments are expected in the coming weeks, with the Dolphins currently in the process of filling the Club Coordinator and Marketing Officer positions and appointing a Hollywoodbets Dolphins Women's physio.
The Dolphins will host a Season Opening Media Day at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Friday, 4 September, with the men's and women's head coaches and players available to the media.
The new season will see the Hollywoodbets Dolphins continue their pursuit of excellence on the field, backed by a strengthened and increasingly diverse team working behind the scenes.
