The Airlink Pumas came from behind to claim a 39-13 win against DHL Western Province in their Carling Currie Cup encounter at DHL Stadium on Saturday.
The home side made a fast start, grabbing the ball in the 22 and it was blindside flank Connor Evans who powered over for the opening try.
They continued their dominance and added a further three points to their lead though a Kyle Smith penalty.
The visitors finally entered the 22 at the end of the first half and made it count with a maul try to Andre Fouche, which saw them go into the break trailing by three points.
The Pumas were level early in the second half through a penalty from flyhalf Clinton Swart and took the lead for the first time soon afterwards with a second maul try.
They followed that up with a try from centre Sango Xamlashe before Western Province responded with a penalty from Smith.
The Mpumalanga side stretched their lead to 12 points with a penalty from Swart 15 minutes from time and they added a bonus point try from wing Darren Adonis shortly afterwards.
There was time for one more try for the visitors to round out a dominant performance in the second half.
