The Pretoria Capitals are excited to announce Pretoria Social, the franchise’s inaugural padel-based community event, taking place on 22 December at LIV Padel, Centurion.
Pretoria Social brings together Pretoria Capitals players, fans, creators, local celebrities and coaches for a vibrant, informal sporting experience that celebrates the Capitals community both on and off the cricket field. With the rapid rise of padel in South Africa, the event leverages the sport’s fun, social nature to create an accessible environment where fans can engage with players in a new and energetic way.
“Padel has this incredible ability to break down barriers,” said Divyanshu Singh, CEO of Pretoria Capitals and JSW Sports. “It’s fast, it’s social and it puts everyone - fans, players, creators - on the same level. Pretoria Social is our way of bringing the Capitals family closer together in a setting that feels natural, playful, and full of energy. Our players love it, our fans love it, and it’s the perfect sport to build genuine connection.”
Attendees can look forward to complimentary food and beverages, a Pretoria Capitals merchandise zone, a fan message wall and multiple photo opportunities - including an appearance by the beloved team mascot, Roarie.
The event is exclusive and limited to a select number of guests. Fans interested in attending must register through the official Pretoria Capitals social media platforms. Successful registrants will receive confirmation ahead of the event.

Meanwhile, the Pretoria Capitals are delighted to welcome Head & Shoulders, one of the world’s leading haircare brands, as the team’s Official Haircare Partner for the upcoming Betway SA20 2025/26 season.
The partnership marks Pretoria Capitals’ first association with Procter & Gamble (P&G) through two of its flagship brands - Head & Shoulders and Oral-B, both joining the franchise as new partners this season.
The announcement comes as the Centurion-based franchise prepares to kick off its SA20 campaign on 27 December, opening at home in a high-voltage clash against provincial rivals Joburg Super Kings, before meeting Durban Super Giants in early January.
Speaking on the association, Karan Yadav, CCO: JSW Sports & Pretoria Capitals, said: “We are extremely proud to partner with two globally trusted brands from the P&G family - Oral-B and Head & Shoulders. Their reputation for quality, innovation and consumer trust aligns perfectly with the standards we aim to uphold as a franchise. These partnerships not only elevate our commercial portfolio but also reinforce our commitment to building a world-class environment for our players and fans. We look forward to a strong and meaningful association this season.”
Commenting on the partnership, Ebrahim Mohamed Commercial Director for Head & Shoulders South Africa, said: “Head & Shoulders is excited to help keep Pretoria Capitals and their fans feeling confident and match-ready this SA20 season. As a brand rooted in performance and freshness, we’re proud to support a team that embodies resilience, ambition, and the spirit of South African sport. Partnering with the Capitals allows us to champion confidence both on the field and in everyday life, and we’re thrilled to walk this journey with them.”
Pretoria Capitals head into the season with a refreshed and formidable squad following strategic additions at this year’s auction. Supporters can look forward to seeing Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Andre Russell and Sherfane Rutherford feature prominently - alongside the landmark acquisition of Dewald Brevis, signed for a record SA20 fee of R16.5-million.
