Arsenal have moved five points clear of second-placed Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after Sunday's 2-1 win against Chelsea.
Man City had reduced the gap to two points on Saturday when they beat Leeds United 1-0 but Arsenal restored their advantage just 24 hours later, although they have played one match more than their title-race rivals.
Fourth-placed Aston Villa are 13 points off the top and suffered a huge blow on Friday night when they were beaten 2-0 by bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal and Man City are next in action on Wednesday, facing Brighton & Hove Albion away and Nottingham Forest at home respectively.
The top two sides remain on course for a potential title-decider at the Etihad Stadium in mid-April.
Only four of the Gunners' remaining nine matches are away and just two of these - including Brighton - are outside London.
Meanwhile, five of the matches Man City have left to play are on the road, although they do end the campaign with two of their final three fixtures at home.
