In Australia the olde enemy do battle when the NSW Waratahs (9) host the Queensland Reds (4) in Sydney, with the Waratahs' top-six hopes really needing a boost with a victory - in Round 5 the Reds enjoyed a 35-15 victory in Brisbane.

Moana Pasifika colours are looking very good on Ardie Savea, who continues to extend his lead on top of the Super Rugby Pacific Player of the Year voting.

Savea was one of three players who achieved a perfect score for their performance this week, with the Waratahs Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and the Blues' Beauden Barrett also scoring highly for their performances against the Brumbies and Force, respectively.

In 2025, Super Rugby Pacific will crown the competition's most outstanding player with the presentation of the inaugural Player of the Year Award.

The captains and head coaches of both teams nominate their top three players from the opposing team each week, allocating three votes, two votes, and one vote, respectively.
