World Sports Betting Western Province Men’s head coach Rory Kleinveldt has officially announced his coaching support staff that will lead the squad into the upcoming 2025/26 domestic season.
Kleinveldt was appointed in June of 2025 to lead the Boys in Blue on a new path, with a clear mandate to guide the team in the right direction for the next three years.
Former Western Province and Cape Cobras batter Qaasim Adams returns to Newlands Cricket Ground, officially stepping into the role of assistant coach after serving as the team's batting coach for the past two seasons.
Dieter Swanepoel continues in his role as the team’s strength and conditioning coach for the upcoming season. In addition to the core coaching staff, Roger Telemacus, the current Provincial Colts/Academy head coach, will provide support to Kleinveldt throughout the season.
Kleinveldt shared his thoughts as he looks ahead with excitement to the new season, which is set to begin in September.
“Qaasim has been with the team over the past two seasons and has built strong connections with the batting unit. Having worked with Qaasim before I felt it a natural progression for him to step into his new role as assistant coach to continue developing our batters,” said Kleinveldt.
“Roger being the bridge between the Colts system and professional level, I felt he will add value as part of my staff as he also brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the group.”
