Key stats from the Challenge Cup semi-finals

• The Hollywoodbets Sharks have made history by becoming the first South African club to qualify for an EPCR final.

• Gloucester Rugby will be making a fifth appearance in the EPCR Challenge Cup final. The Gallagher Premiership club were winners in 2006 and 2015.

• The winner of the EPCR Challenge Cup will qualify for the 2024/25 Investec Champions Cup and if that club is not already qualified by virtue of its league position, it will take the place of the eighth-ranked club from its own league.

• Gianmarco Lucchesi (Benetton Rugby) scored two tries in his 35 minutes off the bench at the weekend.

• Siya Masuku (Sharks) scored 22 points against ASM Clermont Auvergne - more than any other player in the semi-finals

and he was also 100% off the kicking tee.

• Eben Etzebeth (Sharks) made as many dominant carries as any other player in the semi-finals (six). He also beat four defenders, made two clean breaks, two dominant tackles and won a turnover.

• Joris Jurand (ASM Clemont Auvergne) made the joint-most clean breaks (four) and beat the most defenders (seven) at the weekend.

• Caolan Englefield (Gloucester Rugby) made a round-high 17 kicks in play against Benetton Rugby - three of which were retained - and more kick in play metres than any other player (565).
