World Sports Betting Western Province Men’s veteran bowler Beuran Hendricks has predicted that the 2025/26 campaign will be a landmark season for Western Province Cricket, expressing confidence in the team’s potential to excel across all competitions.

With the appointment of new head coach Rory Kleinveldt and the addition of three new recruits Tshepo Moreki, Jiveshan Pillay and Joshua van Heerden, the Boys in Blue are aiming to return to their former glory and make a strong impact this season.

Hendricks has expressed confidence that the team is well-prepared and expects a successful and competitive season ahead.

“I think it's going to be a really exciting season for Western Province Cricket,” said Hendricks.

“We've got some new faces in the squad; we've got a new head coach who’s brought in a fresh energy and fresh approach to the way we train and go about our preparations.”

Despite enduring a cold and wet winter in Cape Town, the 35-year-old praised Western Province’s players for their dedication during pre-season and highlighted the overall strength and depth of the squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.

“We've had a very wet winter here in Cape Town, so we've spent a lot of time in the indoor nets focusing on skills and trying to prepare as best we can,” he said.

“But in between that we’ve tried to get outdoors as much as possible and focus on some activities to strengthen the environment and spend time together as a group.

“The way the guys are training has been special to see. There’s been a big focus on where we went wrong last season and fine tune the areas, we can be better at.

“With the inclusion of Jiveshan, Josh and Tshepo it feels like they’ve been with us for a couple of seasons already. They’ve gelled well into the environment.

“Our young guns have also impressed with their hunger to learn and grow their games and the number of conversations they’ve had with some of the senior players and how they’ve translated it into their training has been encouraging to see and I’m confident they are wanting to give Rory a headache when it comes to selection this season."

Hendricks has called on the Newlands faithful to come in and support the Boys in Blue in what will be an exciting 2025/26 season.

“The Newlands faithful have always been part of our team and I want to encourage them to get to Newlands and support our Boys in Blue. It’s going to be an exciting season and we want to put on a show,” he says.

The team will travel to Durban on Wednesday to take part in the Metro T10 Cup, which begins on Friday, competing alongside Hollywoodbets Dolphins, DP World Lions and Momentum Multiply Titans after which they will begin a 3-day pre-season match against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins before the first official CSA 4-Day series fixture.
