Free State Rugby is proud to announce a landmark celebration in honour of its 130th anniversary, marking more than a century of rich heritage, iconic moments and the passionate rugby community that continues to carry the game forward.

To commemorate this historic milestone, the Toyota Cheetahs will host a special friendly match against the national team of Georgia on Friday, 11 July, at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein. Georgia will go on to face the Springboks a week later at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, while the Toyota Cheetahs will use this high-calibre fixture as part of their preparations for the 2025 Carling Currie Cup, kicking off on 26 July.

Fans can expect more than just world-class rugby. The match day will feature a vibrant fan festival at Toyota Stadium, including:

  • Live performances by Zaan Sonnekus and Biggy at the Castle Gig-Rig

  • A Food Festival offering local flavours and favourites

  • The biggest jumping castle in South Africa for young fans

  • Toyota Cheetahs Mini-Rugby matches on the main field

  • One of the event’s most exciting highlights: every paid ticket holder will be entered into a draw to stand a chance to win a Toyota Hilux on the day!
