The Fidelity Titans Women can confirm that head coach Pierre de Bruyn will conclude his tenure with the Titans Women at the end of July 2026, following his appointment as head coach of the Netherlands Women’s National Team, which he will officially assume on 1 August 2026.
De Bruyn joined the Fidelity Titans ahead of the 2025/2026 season, making the transition from men's cricket, where he had built his coaching reputation at the highest level - to take charge of a professional women's team. The move represented a bold and exciting
new chapter for De Bruyn and he embraced it wholeheartedly, becoming a central figure in the growth of the Titans Women's set up. His ability to adapt to the professional women’s game and his commitment to creating a positive and high-performing environment made a meaningful impact on the team during his time with the Fidelity Titans Women.
De Bruyn’s appointment to lead the Netherlands Women’s National Team represents a significant milestone in his coaching career and is a testament to the quality of his work with the Titans Women’s side. The Netherlands are preparing for an exciting period in women’s
international cricket, with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on the horizon.
Speaking on his departure, De Bruyn expressed his appreciation to Titans Cricket for the opportunity to lead the Fidelity Titans. “Joining the Fidelity Titans Women was a very special chapter in my coaching journey as it marked the beginning of my involvement in professional women’s cricket. I am incredibly grateful to Titans Cricket, the players, management, staff and supporters for welcoming me and allowing me to grow within such a professional and passionate environment. The Titans family has played a massive role in
my development as a coach and I will always appreciate the belief and support shown to me throughout the season. While it is difficult to say goodbye, I am excited for this new opportunity with the Netherlands Women’s National Team and I leave knowing the Fidelity
Titans have a bright future ahead.”
Titans Cricket Chief Executive Officer Jacques Faul thanked De Bruyn for his contribution to the union and congratulated him on his international appointment.
“Pierre’s professionalism, work ethic, and passion for women’s cricket made a meaningful impact during his time with the Fidelity Titans Women. Although his tenure with us was short, he added tremendous value to the environment and the development of our players and structures. We are proud to see Pierre take up such a prestigious role with the Netherlands Women’s National Team, especially at a time when they are building towards major global tournaments, including the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. This opportunity is a reflection of his quality as a coach and on behalf of Titans Cricket, we wish him and the Netherlands Women every success moving forward.”
The Fidelity Titans will announce the appointment of a new Women’s head coach in due course. The franchise remains fully committed to the continued development and growth of women’s cricket in the Titans footprint.
