On Saturday the Toyota Cheetahs will face the Sanlam Boland Cavaliers at the Boland Stadium in Wellington in the opening round of the SA Cup. The action begins at 3pm and will be streamed live on the DSTV streaming channel (SS246).
Frans Steyn, Director of Rugby and head coach of the Toyota Cheetahs, commented on the upcoming challenge: "This is an important opportunity for our young players to test themselves and see where we stand as a team. It is also a chance for the leaders to step up and take control in high-pressure situations.
"The SA Cup holds great significance for us, as securing qualification for the Currie Cup remains a key objective. The players' future is in their own hands, and their performance will determine our success.
"We must approach this challenge as a unit. It will be tough, and emotions will run high but we must focus on applying pressure and executing our game with precision. I have confidence in this squad."
Toyota Cheetahs captain Victor Sekekete said: "As players, we always wanted to play and look forward to the challenge of playing for something."
