Christiaan Bezuidenhout, who represented Team SA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, remained the highest-ranked South African men’s golfer in the world for this week.
The latest weekly rankings were released on Monday and Bezuidenhout (pictured), who finished 16th in Paris, is at No 45 in the world, the same as the week before. One spot behind him is Thriston Lawrence, while Paris Olympian Erik van Rooyen is down three places to No 67.
Bezuidenhout, Lawrence and Van Rooyen are the only three South Africans in the men’s top 100.
Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, who bth represented the USA in Paris, are at No 1 and No 2, respectively.
In the Rolex women’s rankings, Team SA’s two-time Olympians Ashleigh Buhai and Paula Reto are at Nos 55 and 171, respectively.
