Betway SA20 and King Price announce multi-year partnership renewal

Betway SA20 and King Price Insurance have announced a multi-year renewal of their partnership, building on a successful first season together.
As part of the extension, King Price will continue as the League's Proud Insurance Partner and will own the DRS moments in stadiums, as well as the distinctive umpire walk-out that starts each match.
The award-winning insurer brought its trademark culture of innovation and fun to Season 4, giving the match officials a royal experience across all 34 matches.
The partnership has added a spark to the profile of the Betway SA20 umpires and match referees, raising their presence in the match while also educating fans about the rules of the game in an interactive way.
“King Price took a part of the game that usually happens quietly in the background and put it front and centre, and our fans loved it," Betway SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith said. "The umpires are central to every match, and the energy King Price brought to their walk-outs and review moments gave them the recognition they deserve while adding to the entertainment in our stadiums. We're delighted to extend this partnership over multiple seasons as we head into our fifth season, and we look forward to seeing how they continue to deliver the royal treatment."

Established in 2012 as a passionate, disruptive start-up, King Price has grown into a multi-billion-rand business and a leading player in the South African insurance market. The partnership will continue to come to life through out-of-the-box activations designed to give umpires and fans an unmatched stadium experience.
"Our partnership with Betway SA20 in Season 4 gave us a brilliant opportunity to connect with fans and communities," De Wet van Deventer, Head of Marketing at King Price, said. "Our brand came to life through the innovative, creative activations we ran with the match officials, which were often disruptive and fun, very much like our brand. We appreciate that our sponsorship recognises an important part of cricket that doesn't always get the same attention as the action on the field, while allowing us to bring our distinctive voice to the League."
The build-up to the fifth season is gathering pace, with fewer than 100 days until the opening match between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals at St George's Park on 17 January 2027. All six squads have been confirmed and feature some of the best international and domestic T20 talent in the world.
To celebrate five years of Betway SA20 and to thank fans for their incredible support, the League and its six teams are launching the R50 Frenzy. A limited number of R50 tickets will be available for each team's first home match, the Playoffs and the Final, during the exclusive pre-sale window. With demand for Betway SA20 tickets consistently high, fans are encouraged to register for pre-sale access before 18 October at https://www.sa20.co.za/register-for-early-access
