The United Rugby Championship is proud to announce a new partnership with Nomadic Watches, who become the league’s first-ever Official Timing Partner.
The collaboration brings together two organisations united by a shared appreciation for precision, performance and moments that matter. In a sport where outcomes can be defined by the finest margins, timing has always played a central role in rugby’s drama and appeal.
As the URC continues to grow its global profile and deepen connections with fans across its five territories, the partnership with Nomadic represents another important addition to the league’s expanding commercial portfolio - one built on shared values.
Founded in Belfast, Nomadic Watches has quickly established a reputation for craftsmanship, quality and storytelling, creating timepieces inspired by adventure, resilience and heritage. Their passion for rugby and understanding of the sport’s culture made the partnership a natural fit for the URC.
The partnership will create new opportunities for fan engagement while celebrating the players, clubs and communities that make the URC one of the most dynamic and diverse competitions in world rugby.
United Rugby Championship CEO, Martin Anayi, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nomadic Watches as the United Rugby Championship’s first-ever Official Timing Partner.
“As a league, we are incredibly proud to be associated with a brand that has already demonstrated such creativity, innovation and passion in its approach to partnering with the URC, our clubs and our players.
“Our growing family of partners says a great deal about the continued strength, reputation and trajectory of the URC as a competition. We want to work with brands that genuinely share our passion for rugby and our ambition to help the game grow, and from our earliest conversations it was clear that Nomadic are rugby fans first as well as an outstanding premium brand.
“We look forward to building a long and successful partnership together.”
Nomadic Watches will begin activating the partnership immediately throughout the URC Play-Offs, embracing the energy and excitement of the decisive final weeks of the season. As the race towards the Grand Final intensifies, Nomadic are looking forward to engaging with fans, clubs and stakeholders alike, becoming part of the end-of-season spectacle across the URC landscape.
Peter McAuley, Founder of Nomadic Watches, said: “Rugby represents so much of what we stand for as a brand - resilience, precision, performance and character. It’s a sport built on grit and determination but also respect and sportsmanship, and those values align naturally with Nomadic.
“Rugby has always been a huge part of my life. My brother Mike played for both Ulster and Ireland U19s before suffering a serious injury, so the sport has always been ingrained in my DNA.
“To now partner with one of the world’s leading rugby championships genuinely means a great deal to me personally, and the whole team at Nomadic are incredibly excited for what’s ahead.”
Together, the United Rugby Championship and Nomadic Watches look forward to celebrating the moments, stories and communities that continue to make rugby one of the world’s most powerful sporting experiences.
