
Ahead of the new cricket season, the Tuskers have been bolstered by a new title sponsor and for the upcoming season they will be known as the ACDC Express Tuskers.
The Tuskers will be battling it out in Division Two this season, however, will be eying a swift promotion back to the topflight of domestic cricket in South Africa.
In the off-season the Tuskers have recruited will with a number of young, talented players coming through their ranks and the team will be eager to hit the ground running as soon as things get underway.
For the team at ACDC Express, they are looking forward to having an impact on the side that remains the pride of Pietermaritzburg.
“We are looking forward to this partnership with the Tuskers,” Branch Manager, Parushen Chetty said. “We hope that our involvement will play a role in leading the Tuskers back to the top of the tree.”
CEO of the KZN Inland Cricket Union Jason Sathiaseelan was excited about having a sponsor on board for the new season. He was also appreciative of their efforts to join the Tuskers family as KZN Inland Cricket continues to evolve.
“This is indeed an exciting partnership, and we are proud to be associated with the ACDC Express brand.” Sathiaseelan said.
“We understand the tough economic times currently being experienced so it is fantastic news to have ACDC Express come on board and support the Tuskers in our quest to have a successful season.
“There are many exciting projects taking place in the Inland region and this partnership will help solidify the great work being undertaken.”
The ACDC Express Tuskers will begin their season with the T20 Knockout where they will take on the defending Division Two T20 champions the Limpopo Impalas on 22 September.
