Cricket South Africa (CSA) is set to host the annual CSA Awards next month in recognition of the ‘The Art of Cricket' for the top performers of the 2023/24 season.
The awards will be held on 05 September at Vodaworld in Midrand as last season's top performers are set to be recognised.
Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA), are well represented not only through the nominations of Mens and Womens players but also in the Coach of the Year Awards (both Mens and Womens) and in various other categories.
First team coaches Salieg Nackerdien and Claire Terblanche have both led the group of Western Province players who are dominating the nominations.
Nackerdien and Terblanche will both be eyeing the top prize in the Division 1 Coach of the Year and Women's Division 1 Coach of the Year awards respectively.
Players Nandre Burger, Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk are leading the pack in the player nominees’ categories. Burger has been nominated in three categories while Kapp and de Klerk have been nominated in four and three categories respectively.
WPCA CEO Corrie van Zyl has congratulated all the nominees and wishes the players well in the awards.
“We are extremely proud of all the WSB WP representatives who have been nominated across the various categories, this shows that we at WSB WP, have a healthy pipeline from grassroots right through to our Professional Teams.”
