Moore wants more of the same from WP

World Sports Betting Western Province opener Eddie Moore knows what to expect from the in-form Dafabet Warriors when the two meet again, this time on the doubleheader day at Boland Park on Sunday.

The second-place Province will meet the CSA T20 Challenge log leaders Warriors at 10am on Sunday, while at 2pm the home side Gbets Rocks will take on DP World Lions.

Both matches will be live on the SuperSport YouTube channel.

Moore had an impressive performance this week as he helped Province to an emphatic 48-run bonus point win over the AET Tuskers on Wednesday afternoon after knocking a solid 101 off 58 balls.

The 31-year-old says the team is looking forward to the clash on Sunday after the good play against the Tuskers.

Moore says all he wants is to keep the momentum going in his performance and help the team wherever he can.

"You can always expect high standards, a fighting spirit and a will to win from our WP team. Hopefully, we can execute our plans and skills on the day and come up with a positive result," said Moore.

"We had a really good chat and session today (Friday). Hopefully, we'll take some learnings from our previous performances and get better as we get to the business end of the competition.

"It's always important for me to contribute to the team's success. I believe that you never take good form for granted, so you can expect the same processes from me going forward."

He believes the Warriors are not the easy team to play with but remains optimistic that Province have a solid plan for going to Boland Park.

"The Warriors are playing good cricket at the moment, so it should be a good contest," he said.

"I have no doubt in my mind that if we hit our straps on Sunday we can come out on top.

"We are looking forward to a good and competitive match which provides us with the opportunity to showcase our skills against one of the better teams at the moment."

Province (21) are 10 points behind log leaders Warriors (31) in the log standing after round seven.
