Good news from the Cheetah camp is that Louis (Chucky) van der Westhuizen and Rewan Kruger have extended their contracts for another two years.

Scrumhalf Kruger is a product of the Toyota Academy and made his debut for the senior team in the 2021 Toyota Challenge. Van der Westhuizen joined the Toyota Cheetahs in 2020. The thirty-year-old hooker played in three Rugby World Cups for Namibia in 2015, 2019 and 2023.

Their commitment is a decisive vote of confidence in the team's direction, boosting the squad's continuity and depth. Both players have earned 66 caps for the Toyota Cheetahs so far and have been instrumental on and off the field. The Toyota Cheetahs look forward to seeing them continue to grow in Cheetah colours.

John Kelly Okonkwo has recently joined the Toyota Cheetahs, the tighthead prop played for the UCT Ikey Tigers for two seasons in the Varsity Cup and one season for Wits.
