The Toyota Cheetahs traveled to Wales to take on Cardiff Rugby on Saturday at Cardiff Arms Park at 10pm (SAST), with the action live on SuperSport.

The team from the Free State drew against USAP on Sunday and would be eager to end the first tour on a high note.

“We pride ourselves on our forwards pack,” said Toyota Cheetah flanker, Gideon van der Merwe. “Coach Sakkie (Izak van der Westhuizen) drives us hard and the standards are high. It is good to see that we can dominate up front in Europe. We just need to keep that going and we need to work more on our attacking and defensive side.”

The team for the encounter shows two changes from last weekend. Oupa Mohoje moves to the starting line-up, switching places with Friedle Oliver, while Cohen Jasper replaces Prince Nkabinde on the left wing.

The referee for the match is Eoghan Cross and he will be assisted by Andrew Cole and Sam Holt. Leo Colgan is the TMO.

Next the Cheetahs face Zebre Parma on Sunday, 12 January at 3pm (SAST) at NRCA Stadium in Amsterdam.
